Frequently asked questions
What does Cleanmail do?
Cleanmail connects to your Gmail and reads the school, camp, sports, and activity emails for you. It pulls out the events, deadlines, and details that matter, organizes them by person and activity, and adds the events straight to your Google Calendar — so you don’t have to dig through your inbox to stay on top of your family’s schedule.
How do I connect my Gmail account?
When you first open Cleanmail, you’ll be asked to sign in with Google and grant read-only access to your Gmail. Cleanmail only reads your email to build your digests — it never sends, deletes, or modifies anything in your inbox. You can disconnect at any time from your account settings.
How does billing work?
Cleanmail is a single subscription of $6.99/month, billed through Stripe. New accounts start with a 14-day free trial; if you don’t cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically to a paid subscription. You can view or update your billing details, change your payment method, or cancel anytime from the billing portal inside the app.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Cleanmail, go to your account settings, and select the billing or subscription option to open the billing portal. From there you can cancel in a couple of taps. If you cancel during your trial, you won’t be charged.
How do I delete my account and my data?
You can delete your account directly in the app from your account settings. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your connected Google account, your digests, and your data from our systems. If you’d prefer, you can also email us at support@cleanmailapp.com and we’ll take care of it for you.
Is my email data private?
Yes. Cleanmail uses read-only access to your Gmail and only processes the emails needed to build your digests. We don’t sell your data. For full detail on what we collect and how we handle it, see our Privacy Policy.
